Online databases can be used in many ways. In the example below, a disc jockey company uses our services to allow clients to view their entire music library. The clients can view the entire (17,000+ songs) music database "as is," or perform various searches. The clients can also print out the entire database, via the Adobe Acrobat reader. (Try it!) The second example is a "Price Quote Form," which the DJ company uses to obtain information about an event, before giving a definite price. When the user completes the form and clicks the "Submit" button, an email notification is automatically sent to the company.
This particular database is considered to be "open," as it accessable to anyone who opens the webpage containing the application. Other databases are secure and restricted to authorized persons only. Those applications require the use of a user Login Name and Password before access to the database is given. An example of a secure database will be posted here shortly.
